AMANDA PALMER
Amanda grew up and lives in Essex with her family. As a child, she made drawings of her toys every day.Passionate about art, Amanda went on to study fine art at De Montfort University in Leicester, where she studied drawing, painting, sculpture and printmaking. She graduated from De Montfort with a first class BA Honours Degree.
Amanda’s interest in drawing intensified whilst teaching live drawing on a placement at the London College of Fashion, as part of her PGCE in Post Compulsory Education and Training at Greenwich University. Fascinated by the drawing process she went on to complete The Drawing Year at the Royal Drawing School in London, where drawing became her primary focus. One of her drawings was chosen for The Prince of Wales Collection.
She currently creates work from her studio in Essex as well as bringing up two children.
