— Paul Feiler —
Born in Frankfurt-am-Main Germany, 1918. Spent holidays with his Grandmother in the Alps. When the power changed in Germany Paul was sent to the Netherlands and then to school in England. Studied art at the Slade School of Art and some of his fellow students were Patrick Heron, Adrian Heath, Adrian Ryan, Bryan Wynter and sculpture Kenneth Armitage.
Art Master at combined Eastbourne and Radley Colleges. West of England College of Art. Visits Cornwall where he meets up again with Bryan Wynter and William Scott.
Teaches at St Ives and meets Peter Lanyon and Terry Frost. Decides to settle in Cornwall and finally gives up teaching in 1983, but continues to paint.
